Residential "trance-personal shamanic" weekend 1x/month (information in private message).
NOTE: ONLINE CONSULTATIONS CAN BE JUST AS EFFECTIVE AS IN-PERSON CONSULTATIONS!!!
In my experience, even if it takes a little getting used to at first, you eventually get the hang of it! I regularly have teleconsultations for patients living abroad (or sick or disabled), or when I'm on a mission outside our little Belgium.
What's more, I regularly prescribe therapeutic tasks: in other words, the essential progress of the therapy will also depend on the exercises, worked out together, that you do between appointments to really change the reality of your daily life (e.g., self-hypnosis sessions).
Our aim is to help you achieve your full potential as quickly as possible. You're not just a "patient", you're a stakeholder in the therapeutic process!
So you see: whether the consultation takes place remotely or face-to-face is not as important as it might first appear.
See you soon!

Julien Dupuis is an integrative trance-disciplinary psychologist (3rd cycle + Master).
Private psychotherapist (Brussels), external/internal consultant (ICAS, Fedasil, CPAS, Croix-Rouge, TJ, SPJ), forensic expert, supervisor of psychotherapists, trainer in ethnopsychology, contemplative psychology, hypnosis, etc. (IFC, FCC, CECAFOC, etc.).
He has worked for various organizations (Maison Médicale, Médecins du Monde, Samusocial, SOS Papa, C.H.U. Brugmann, Tabane, Club Antonin Artaud) and as a psychology consultant for various Nepalese NGOs (Shechen Medical Clinic, Association for the Protection of Children).
Among other things, he has developed expertise in dealing with trauma and managing problems linked to the confrontation between different cultural and religious referents (people from immigrant backgrounds, asylum seekers, expatriates, mixed marriages).
He took part in the early days of meditation research within F. Varela's team (Salpêtrière) and the Mind & Life Institute, as well as at UCL, co-publishing the first empirical study of Buddhism in the psychology of religion:
UNIVERSITY EDUCATION (Bac + 5): Bachelor's/Master's degree in Psychological and Educational Sciences at the Université Catholique de Louvain, internships and dissertation in Neurophenomenology of Meditation (Hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière, Mind & Life Institute)
SPECIALIZED TRAINING: Hypnotherapy & Brief Therapy (ADREA, recognized by the Institut Milton H. Erickson de Belgique), EMDR (Integrativa, recognized by EMDR-Europe), Ethnopsychiatry (CHU Brugmann, Chapelle-aux-champs, Tabane), Systemic & family therapy (ULB-UMH & IEFSH), Clinical Hermeneutic Phenomenology (Belgian Center and School for Daseinsanalysis), Shamanic Trance (Nepal, Amazonia), Meditation & Buddhism (Ngedön Phuntsok Ling, Rangjung Yeshe Gomdé, Kathmandu University, Shri Singha University of Dzogchen-Tibet)
His multiple backgrounds (beyond any school sectarianism) enable him to best adapt to the individual's needs and problems. In concrete terms, he advocates an integrated, integrative psychology/therapy that short-circuits the verbal-mental, taking its source in and drawing its resources from contemplation (meditation) and non-dual philosophy, as well as traditional "hypno-shamanic" practices.
You don't have to feel bad to feel better! It's all about setting positive goals, because the aim is not to be normal, but extra-ordinary!

My specialties
I've been able to familiarize myself with a variety of approaches that enable me to best adapt to the patient's needs and problems. Psychotherapy is an art practiced in close collaboration with a patient who becomes active (!), letting go so that feeling (involving the body as well as the head) guides the relationship to the intuition of the moment that will allow the appropriate therapeutic act to emerge. In this way, I don't work by hypothesis, overheating the ego-mind and implicitly trying to lock the patient into a certain school ideology...
Nor, as in modern medicine, should psychotherapy be reduced to a technique and the patient broken down into symptoms.
Rather, it's through the plurality of approaches I've been able to train in, beyond any sectarianism, both in the West and during several "anthropological immersions" in ancient cultures, that I believe I can best respect the uniqueness of the individual in his or her care. Juggling psychotherapies in order to create a tailor-made, creative approach, I aim above all to reconnect the patient with his or her own self-healing potential, encouraging maximum autonomy as soon as possible. In the final analysis, the psychotherapist is nothing more than a mirror, which needs to be continually polished, in which the patient can finally see himself in a more neutral ("objective"), distanced and benevolent way, so as to accept himself first and foremost as he is, before any initiative for transformation.
While short-term efficiency is of course sought after, greater vigilance is accorded to respect for Being!
Credo: You don't have to feel bad to feel better! It's all about setting positive psychotherapeutic goals, because the aim is not to be "normal" (is that really an ideal?) but to become "extra-ordinary" by finally becoming yourself!
