I began my career as a researcher in cognitive neuroscience and brain imaging at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, and it was within the innovative paradigm of neurophenomenology that I wrote my dissertation on meditation and co-published the first study in the psychology of religion on Buddhism. My approach was not, of course, a religious one, but one of secularized and meaningful appropriation of this mind-body tool, and of the values and spirit that must underpin it to guarantee its safety and optimal efficacy.

More broadly speaking, my psychology studies were evidence-based in the cognitive-emotional-behavioral field. At the same time, and after graduating, I deepened my skills in " primal and oriental psychology " during three stays in the Himalayas (Nepal and Tibet, stays totaling almost 3 years & Amazonia/Andes: 8 months).

Back in Belgium, I continued my transdisciplinary training in systemics,ethnopsychiatry/transcultural psychology, phenomenological psychiatry (Daseinsanalysis) andHypnotherapy & Brief Therapy , includingEMDR. Redirecting my career as a clinician, I was able to participate as an apprentice co-therapist in consultations/interviews with renowned psychiatrists: Dr. Ph. Woïtchik - CHU Brugmann, Dr. D. Schurmans - SSM Tabane, Dr. D. Pierre - SSM Chapelle-aux-champs, Faculty of Medicine, UCL, Dr. Ph. Antoine - School of Meditation, Institute of New Hypnosis, Dr. F. Tirtiaux - SSM "Club Antonin Artaud".

So I've always synchronized my practice with the (para)medical sector (psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, etc.) in an interdisciplinary, collaborative spirit.) in an interdisciplinary and collaborative spirit, whether in private or institutional settings, such as the Samusocial Emergency Medical Service and the CASO (Centre d'Accueil, de Soins et d'Orientation) of Médecins du Monde (Doctors of the World) when treating new arrivals, and currently at the Centre Médical César de Paepe (Laeken).

In conclusion, this varied career path has led me to specialize in the treatment/assistance of various socio-psychological problems of Belgian and/or immigrant patients/couples/families. These people are sometimes in precarious situations, with broken social/family ties and significant mental distress.
